Sore throat always makes us uncomfortable and tired because it comes with headaches, hard breath, common cold... and worse, it can become a fever or your throat would be blocked by swollen tonsils, in this case, you must go to the doctor. In this post are my natural remedies that can heal your throat quickly and prevent it to come again.
1. Salt water:
The fastest and easiset way to reduce the flammation and kill bad bacteria in your throat is gargling warm salt water. This treatment has passed through many generations, and it's simple to do: Add 1/2 tsp of salt into a glass of warm water, stir them well and gargle. Remember do not swallow it!
You had better repeat several times per day to remove and prevent the sore throat.
2. Lemon and Honey:
The perfect combination to get rid of sore throat. Lemon can fight agaisnt bacteria, inflammation, and honey is a great wound healer. They will releive your throat quickly and cure it.
You should add honey in a glass of warm lemonade and sip it.
3. Chamomile tea:
Chamomile tea helps prevent inflammation and sooth your throat instantly. Consume chamomile tea every day will not only get rid of sore throat but also protect you from any kind of illness.
4. Cinnamon:
The smell of cinnamon always make me feel comfortable. You should use cinnamon powder mixed with water, add a little bit of black pepper powder, then gargle this mixture. The sore throat would disappear.
5. Steam bath:
This treatment may not get rid of sore throat directly, but it helps you feel much better and supports the healing faster. Sore throat can affect your nose, which makes you hard to breathe, so this treatment can cure that.
You just need to boil a saucepan of water, pour it into a big bowl and get your face closed to the water surface. Use a towel to cover your head and block the steam. Steaming about 15 to 20 minutes is okay.
*More simple tips from me:
- Drink 1,5l to 2l of water so your throat won't be dry.
- Keep the atmosphere moisture by adding mist or a humidifie.
- Keep your body warm, especially your neck and head.
- Stay away from people who are having flu or strep throat.
The winter has come, take care of your self :)
